I create quilts that break free from tradition—loose, intuitive, and bursting with color. Without patterns, rulers, or templates, I cut freehand, layering shapes on a design wall until the composition expands beyond expectation, often reaching over eight feet. My process is a dance of reaction and response, embracing spontaneity and joy. I stitch by hand and machine, blending old and new techniques to honor the ingenuity of makers before me. Inspired by artists who use color fearlessly, I believe in the power of imagination—three reds are good, but fifteen are better. My greatest hope is that my work sparks delight, curiosity, and an irresistible urge to reach out and touch.
